Well, after going back and forth between the 07 fatboy and 07 road king classic, I went with the road king. Pick it up friday. Didn't pay much attention when I picked up my 03 Train a few years ago. But I didn't know about this sight either. Would like to compile a list of things to look/check over before I take delivery, Any thoughts would be great.
It will be a 07 FLHRC with the custom Night Storm paint, and flame boards all around and grips and batt tender. Face hurts from smilin'
Check that everything works on it
Every extra you ordered is installed
No scratches/scuffs/etc. - anywhere
Valve stem caps are on
Has oil (and dippy is in tight)
Has gas (and cap on tight)
{has 2 wheels - j/k}
Are you planning on being there when they assemble it and prep it? If possible, I'd recommend it. I didn't do it on my bike, but others have and I think it's a great idea. You can watch them while they put it together and make sure they're doing what they're supposed to do. I'll do this with my next bike.
It's already together, grips, boards and low tinted windsheild are already on it. Went and looked at it this last weekend. Looks sharp. But I'm no expert.
Here is one i missed as i road out the lot and hit the on ramp to the interstate-
adjust mirrors in dealer lot, not going down the interstate.
Also make sure you get the temp tag if needed, they like to forget that.
