Depends on the quality you are willing to live with. I like good quality and don't consider Harley shirts particularly expensive.

Needless to say, I don't shop at Walmart, Target, etc.

Damn I better look at what other riders are wearing. The only type shirts I wear when riding are pullovers. I don't like collars slapping my neck or face when riding and I see no need for buttons or snaps.

What does it matter what century it is?? They've had your so called heavy heavy denim shirts since the 19th century.

I pretty much just wear Dickies work shirts. They are under $25, last well and don't get too hot in the Florida heat. I just bought a couple more today at the Dickies outlet in Pigeon Forge. They are having a 20% off sale and I got another 20% off military discount.

Can't really argue with that choice. I have a bunch of them. Cheap enough from Wal-Mart. They are my work shirts too. I had grey ones, but show the dirt way too much.

The button up collared shirts are pretty much all I wear. Saying that, ain't no way I will pay $75 a piece. I wait till they are at least 50-75% off sales and pick up as many as I can find. It's just me, but I absolutely hate riding in a t shirt, even if it is wicking fabric.

If I followed your thought, I'd be dead. Just bought that $90 HD button down shirt over the weekend. I liked the design, colors and the fact that it came in a Tall size. Had to take a deep breath before shelling out the $$$ for it but to me it's no worse than spending a $100 for a tiny chrome piece that you only see when it's parked.

I'll never understand going to a motorcycle store to buy clothes.

I buy these Wrangler shirts at the WalMart down the road from me. They fit well, they're comfortable and they last forever. For under $15, you can't beat them.
