I wear red kap work type button up shirt. It's similar to dickies but they're thinner so they're nice in the summer. Best of all i get them for $10 each at my local motorcycle swap meet. I'll wear sport sleeves for long rides to keep from burning too much in the summer.
well, kutterharleyonline does have these 90 dollar shirts for 65 if anyone wants a deal! lol. i actually have one that my wife bought me and it is super nice. but i'd of never bought it for myself.
Depends on the quality you are willing to live with. I like good quality and don't consider Harley shirts particularly expensive.
Needless to say, I don't shop at Walmart, Target, etc.

The collared shirts look better, but I don't like 'em flappin' in the breeze. I am finding myself wearing more long sleeves now days though. I hardly ever ride at night anymore, so its nice to have some cover from the sun.

The good thing about the shirts is that the collars button down to prevent flapping. I'm the opposite, I love night riding this time of year. It's just too hot during the day. There's nothing nicer than getting out on a cool night with a clear sky riding under the stars.
Got this one twenty-something year old Motorclothes shirt. Brown, heavy oilcloth, long-sleeve, collar, snaps and simple stitching on one front pocket. Best shirt ever. Soft, warm but not hot, cuts the wind and soaks up some of Mother Nature's rain. Wear this shirt more of the time than all others. Only piece of clothing anyone complimented and my closet has Zegna and Versace suits.
I usually put on 2 tee shirts when riding. A long sleeve to protect my arms from the sun and a short sleeve. I prefer to ride on the super slab around 75 -80 mph so it is not really all that warm, even mid summer. The long sleeve shirts are the ones you get when running weekend 5 and 10k road races.
On Sundays I wear a colorful long sleeve Wrangler shirt to church,
and a black wally world Tee shirt Monday - Thursday and on Friday
I wear a burgundy Wally world Tee shirt, and Saturday is anybody's
guess.
