Anyone have V&H side shots? Do they give you a signifigant horsepower boost? Also what is lane splitting an issue with those pipes sticking out on the side? It would be dreadful to scratch somebodys car at freeway speed.
I have the SideShots on my Wideglide and cant tell you if there is any boost in power cause I put the on from the start and have nothing to compare them to. They do sound good and loud with the stock baffle in them but I put the quite baffles in them and like it. Your knee sticks out father than the pipes do so you would be a lot of pain before your pipes went scratching down the side of a car. I like them and don't see them every day like some others.

No, from the East Coast. But I was under the impression it was supposed to be in dense or stop/go traffic situations, not flowing traffic.
(sorry not trying to start a lane splitting argument)
Trust me it gets dense on the freeway. If the cars are side by side I nail it. When you come to gaps in the traffic its time to slow down and watch for lane changers. Another good thing is you can ride in the carpool lane.
