Sportster master cylinder leak
I resently bought a 2000 sportster XL1200. I've notice a significant amount of break fluid is seeping out of my front brake master cylinder sight glass. Does anyone know if there is a replacement for the rubber seal and glass? Or should I put some appoxy or silicon on it to seal it off. I'd hate to have to replace the entire MC.

I agree the silicon is defiantly not the solution. But, has anyone heard of a replacement for the front glass?

Pretty sure the sight glass and the MC is one piece. Gotta replace it as a whole. Plus when it comes to your brake system it's never a good idea to pinch penny's. It's a safety thing.

Dunno about the newer bikes but the evo style mc's had a rebuild kit with that glass & rubber gasket in it maybe a call to the dealer parts dept. or hunting around J&P online may turn up something.
