Default I see Michelin is now using the word NEARLY

When selling there commander ll tires two or three yrs ago . They were confident to say that the tire got twice the distance of there competitors. Now I see they say nearly twice the distance. Maybe they just need to put more rubber on the tire to add another 1/8 " of tread depth .
Let's face it Michelin the commander ll tires can't deliver that new bench mark !

In my experience, my MC II's *DO* get twice the mileage that the stock Dunlops gave me. Let's face it, you're pathetically wrong if all you're going on is a simple change in wording of something.

I'd rather have tires that has good grip in all weather than a tire that will give me high mileage.

Maybe the other manufacturers were forced to "up their game" and are making theirs better now, resulting in Michelin adjusting their claim.

Pretty simple.

I usually don't pay any attention to what tire makers say about their tires because I feel that it's just a selling pitch that they are using to try and sell more tires. When I bought my tires, I read that many had gotten more mileage from their Mich. tires so I gave it a try, I have already gone past what I usually got from other tires and still have tread left. My Indy gave me a good buy on them and they cost about as much as tires that I had previously used. I have almost 4k over what I am used to getting so to me, it was worth it. Will I ever get double, I doubt it. Have I gotten more bang for my buck with these tires, I can honestly say Yes.

Probably someone from the legal department, started dating someone from the marketing department. Just a CYA.

I replaced the Stock tire with an Avon Venom, never going back.

+1. Looking at the Pirelli's and the Avons. I find the Commander II to slide when pushed even a little.

Yep, was not that impressed with the CII. About the same as any other tire I have used. Trying the American Elite now. So far im happy with it. No wet weather yet but overall feel is better. Will keep my fingers crossed
