What isyour average mileage in the saddle at 1 time without stopping on a bike without a windshield or fairing? I did 203 miles on a stipped down Heritage yesterday with a bare-bones seat. That was on back roads, average speed was 40-55 MPH. I was acutally quite pleased at that considering the old guys have to stop and pee alot.
I'm not talking to you guys with the dressers and thecruise control, CD player's, intercom's, cup holders, vibrating seats, etc.
Limited by the size of my gas tank. I can go about200 miles before I have to seriously start looking for some gas stations.
I know what you mean about some people having to stop and pee a lot. I went on a benefit run last year that was about 70 miles or so and I couldn't believe it when they pulled over about halfway through it at a rest stop so people could pee.

Don't knock it till you try it!!!!
I try it a lot...when I'm in my car.
My bike gets about 50 mpg so it hits reserve after about 175 miles then I have 1 gallon left and really start sweating when it gets to a half a gallon left.
I go on reserve at appx 150 miles. Anytime I find gas after that.
Kind of thinking the same thing...I start stressing that my gas gauge might not be correct at about 140 miles and usually start looking for some place with gas.

I don't like to ride in 'long range marathon mode', and unless I'm running late on the way to some destination I don't ride just to see how long I can stay in the saddle.
I like to stop to check out things, have a smoke, walk around, etc.... To me that's half the fun and enjoyment of riding...
Seriously though most day trips I do are around 250 miles or so - I do stop in between for gas, a cig or to take a pee...reckon I'm a weak man....what can I say - I stop for DQ Blizzards too
