Default What size of Apes should I get?

I have a 1998 Springer Anniversary, I am wanting to put some Apes on it but I can't decide what length to put on. I'm thinking 16's but I for the life of me can't visualize it. Any of you guys have any input or pictures of your bikes with apes?

16's are pretty tall. May want to go to some bike nights and see what there is to see. Or if you have a dealership nearby with a large used bike inventory they may have a few to check out. Bars are a hard part to put on and know you will be happy with. I have been through plenty.

16's would be cool. Don't know if it would fit you though.

I have an 05 Springer with 16" Wild 1 chubbies and 4" risers. I am 6' and when I am sitting on my bike, the grips are about shoulder high. Sorry but I'm not much for pics but I find this height very comfy for me. I don't know if you've ever ridden a bike with apes on it before but I've used this set up for a little over 9 years and taken many long trips this way, including around a 3000 mile round trip to Sturgis and back in '11 without any discomfort at all. I can also add that in those 9 years I've gone maybe around 80k miles that way but to each their own.

I'd split it up with a riser. You can always swap out the riser to up or lower it a few inches. I have 16s with a 2" riser. I bought HD's kit.

Lately, I've been seeing people riding around with the look of constipation on their face. This is a direct result of their bikes are set up for fashion, not function.

I got the 12" apes on my Fatboy and wish I had gone for the 16". I'll upgrade eventually. My Brother has 14" apes and he's pretty happy with his. There was a springer at the local Harley dealer with 16" apes and it looked wicked!
