Leaving on a 1000 mile trip tomorrow
We'll be riding to the UP of Michigan. We plan on a big circle all the way around it .
It should be around 1000 miles (round trip).

We did a 1400 mile loop around Lake Michigan a few weeks ago. We camped one night in Mackinaw City. We liked it so much that we're heading back in a couple weeks. We'll be camping in St. Ignace and doing a little cloverleaf tour from there.

don't forget to weigh your bike down with very heavy stuff that you wont need ever so its screws up the handling slows the bike down and bottoms out your suspension and reduce break efficiency and spoil the ride in general . if your taking your woman with you then don't have to worry about what to take they will find plenty of stuff 
ride safe and have fun nothing like a good long ride to blow the cobwebs out of your mind . keep hydrated avoid alcohol carry your money in a plastic tube in you gas tank throw your wrist watch in the dirt and away you go
