Someone here on this site turned me on to this place for the purchase of a PCIII, pre-installed with the correct map for my pipe, intake setup. Jaimie comes highly recommended.
My situation is that I recently put on new pipes, and will soon put on a bigger air cleaner. I went to the stealer to schedule a DT download, as that's what the instructions on the air intake said to do. The shop guy said that unless the pipes are SE slipons, I need to get a race tuner and put it on the dyno, which is about triple the cost of the DT download.
Well, if Jaimie pre-installs the map on the PCIII, why would I buy a race tuner and dyno the thing? Also, why would the DT download not be sufficient as the instructions on the air cleaner say?
Are they just trying to get more money from me?
No one tells me the same thing there. Two of the actual mechanics in the back (not the dude sitting up front) said a DT is fine.
I'm tempted to go with Fuel Moto and call it a day. What do you think?
Well I just bought the Stage 1 kit but have not installed it, since as soon as I do, If i don't have the fuel management system, it will go real lean. I've been running it with just pipes and stock everything else. it runs fine but I want my low end torque back.
I just emailed Jaimie to see if he has the map I need for the V&H Short Shots and the Stage 1 intake.
