I amconsidering purchasing a used Harley Super Glide 2006. The owner tells me that he thinks it is still under warranty, it has had 2 recll work done and had the tranny replaced. He said that the tranny was given a 3 year warranty. Is there aweb site to verify this info? Would a delaler be able to verify this for me?

I will try calling a dealer and see if they will do this over the phone.
$10,200, custom paint (pinstriped flames), forward controls, 2up seat, V&H big shots, Power commander, hi-flow a/c, flammed pegs and other chrome. Dyno'd, runs great and is fast. Says $4500 in addons and only 1500 miles. He says he has the clear title and is not a salvage title.
Id there anything else to ask?

I called 2 dealers here and neither would look it up. Was told since the bike wasn't serviced there, they only have records for what they service and have no access to other info. However, there is a Harley Dealer that I am also talking to about a bike he has for sale. He said he would look it up, since he is competing for a sale, I am not sure I can trust him either! If all else fails, I will stop buy another dealer over the weekend and see what they say.

The other dealer closely agrees with what the seller is saying, but I still think I will stop by a dealer and see what they say.

What would bother me is the fact that you have someone with a 2-year old FXD, custom paint, $4500.00 in add-ons, performance motor work and on and on letting this thing go for a little over 10 grand. Check with the dealer on the VIN regarding the recall, ask to see his title BEFORE you part with any cash to see if there is/was a lienholder and it might be worth forking over $20.00 to Carfax and run the VIN through there, just in case.
Seems like too good of a deal for a newer, custom bike.
Just my $02., it's your cash.
