Glad you will be alright. I have no sympathy for animals in the roadway when I'm riding - especially dogs off a leash. Animals are an wholly expected high probability hazard in course of riding, just sucks. Considering it was someone's pet, that is sad but it should not have been on the loose.

Glad your injuries are not worse than they are.
After you heal up, keep Epsom salt in your bathroom at all times. When the weather turns bad, and you start hurting, fill the tub with hot water and Epsom salt and soak for a couple of hours. It's the best thing for aching bones and muscles as well as old injuries.
