My point is many people do not have the knowledge, skills or equipment to make it in their own shop. You are the one that threw in made in China comments. Many people need to buy their ride off the shelf. I find it very hypocritical when people brag on how they don't support China while using products made in China.
My bikes do not see the inside of the dealership except for warranty work. When I have the time I do all the work myself and when I don't I have several indie shops that take very good care of my rides.
Back on topic... I still think a Road King Sport or true convertible would do very well in the market. A few years ago there was a company that was making fender skirts for when you took off the bags. Not the prettiest conversion but it did cover up the hardware.
Please put your finger on each word than say it out loud. Keep on doing it until you understand each complete sentence. Take notes. Than go through my post. By the time you reach the end you should understand exactly what I am posting. Your reply has nothing to do with what I posted.
I, for one, will avoid purchasing any HD overpriced and poor quality Chinese made part for my own bike.
Did you read avoid purchasing & for my own bike.
This means what I do to my own bike. I do not refer to your or any other persons bike and what they should do as I really do not think it would effect me as well as be none of my business. AGSURFR, this means you, your abilities or lack of, what you or anyone here buys, or what you think. If someone actually wants something for their motorcycle to custom it for themselves, I provided a suggestion on how they could attain the desired results. I outline just what I do. I am sure I am not bringing into play building, designing, or modifying mice, motherboards, chips, monitors, or any other electronic device. I find that there are many on this forum who just wish to project negativity and not suggest solutions.
If anyone wishes to customize their motorcycle and no one makes a solution including Harley than that person has a choice to either do something about it or do nothing.

AFMM3 did an incredible job with this bike, but you can nail the stripped FLH vibe with almost completely factory parts. I'll be installing '02 FLST tubes & sliders (FXDWG trees) & running a 16" up front, but with more of a pissed-off Super Glide flavor.
Help an older fella out here if you could, please. I'm getting a little too old for putting around on the bobber anymore and would like a newer version of a stripped down FLH if there is anything like that out there now. As in no fairing or saddle bags. Any suggestions?
Thanks!!
