This would kind of correlate to the mention of Switchback which is a Dyna.
Basically, yes. The Super Glide was an FLH with XL forks and no electric start.

I'd go with the Softail Slim.
Put on a set of taller bars and ride.............

Any chance you want to sell it?
Yep it will be for sale! It's a Swift Custom from Arizona. Model: Lucky Strike 2007. Only 3k miles on the Evo engine. Upgrades include:
Mikuni HSR42 carb
Rear belt drive conversion
Screaming Eagle pushrods
Woods W6 cam
I'm asking 7k. Give me a holler.

Rode an FLHS in '77; the bike was asthetically appealing but the shovel motor was archaic and woefully underpowered compared to other offerings; if you were not locked into the Harley thing. I ended up with a 77 Gold Wing. Put a lot of comfy fast trouble-free miles on that bike. Fast foreward to 2008, and looking for my 3rd HD, the Fat Bob was released. Same "size" as the old FLHS but much nicer. To me the current FLH based bikes are too heavy and don't look well "stripped". I like the direction I'm headed with my FXDF style; brings back the good memories of that FLHS

I would agree with you on the FXDF. I have a Fat Bob and a RKC. The RKC is nice to ride topless but taking the bags off leaves a lot of ugly in the back. My Fat Bob feels and rides like a skinny and sportier King.

The Softail Slim is a sharp lookin' bike. That said, a Switchback with 16" spoked wheels would be bitchen & nail the vibe you're going for.
