Hi, 2015 Limited, I know I've seen the issue here that Daymaker headlight is great for night riding and I agree, but during the day when riding in a group my riding partners say I am not that easy to spot behind them. Which of course would mean I'm less visble to other traffic too. I am going to tweak the aim a bit to see if it helps, do others get the same feedback and if so what have you tried?
Noticed the same. Father in-law has a tri glide ultra and he is hard to see when behind. I put a JW Speaker led on my bike and the HD halogen fog lights for that reason, but for whatever reason my headlight is crazy bright in daylight also. Funny because they make the daymaker for harley.
Was riding with a bud on a 15 Limited the other day. I have recently swapped the sad little yellowish headlight on my 14 Fatboy for the JW Speaker evo 2. I can't say I noticed him any more or less when he was behind me, but when we were right next to each other (I was specifically looking at this) I did notice my light was a bit brighter and a bit wider on the vehicles in front of us.
Not exactly scientific, but thought I'd put it out there.
I have noticed that when I rode in front my buddy daymaker, not that bright. Well daymaker supposed to make night like day, not day like day I guess lol
Is this the reflector or projector version? I used to have the TruckLite phase 7 (basically the daymaker reflector) and they are not very visible from off-centre-line to other traffic. So far safety, I've removed mine and currently use a HID bulb while I'm considering the JW Speaker.
It has to do with the spectrum of light an LED light puts out...bright sunlight cancels some of the light out...same thing happens when you try to view an LED screen in bright sunlight...ever cuss trying take a picture with a digital camera in bright sunlight?
