Oh come on guys...every state has boring as well,as fascinating rides. It is true that in KS the interesting places are faaaaar apart! There is something majestic about seeing wheat fields for as far as you can see. Only thing is you get used to it in about ten minutes and it lasts about 300 miles!
I live in SE KS and have toured out of here for 30+ years, and within 2 hours I can be in the sweeping hills of Arkansas, several of the Ozark Lakes (Stockton, Beaver, etc.), Kansas City, Tulsa, Branson, MO, Eureka Springs, AR. Furthermore, if I want to ride, within 5 minutes of my house in any direction at any time of the day or night on good roads with little traffic.
Within a day's ride are Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, or Dallas.
In my world, the only riding that sucks is in heavy rain or below 50 degrees.
