Thanks for making me look dumb
I did mean how many hours of video can they hold. I can't believe I worded it that way! In my defense I did not have my coffee yet when I was typing the previous post.
If it is easy to start/stop I'm not terribly worried if it's the Hero 2, 3 or 4. I don't necessarily have my heart set on the remote control function, just don't want to have to try and do 10 different things to start it up.
Not a problem, I just wanted to be sure I was giving you the correct answer. It's the 765 Nuvi'. (I'm having my coffee now lol)
As an example: Last Sunday I went out riding for the day with 3 buddys. I started recording at around 9:45 a.m.. I got home at 6:50 pm. The SD card still has some space left on it.
I leave the camera run at gas stops but do shut if off and take it with me when we make snack stops.
Again, it will depend on how you have the resolution etc. set up. Also, my Hero2 breaks the videos into 3.3 gig files.
I may have mentioned in another post that on our trip out west I thought I had it set to video. Half way thru the day I discovered that I had it set to snap
a photo every 60 seconds and had almost 13,000 pictures on the card. lol That was fun going thru and picking out the good ones!
Here's a couple of pictures from the GoPro.
The first one is to show how steady the camera is on rough surfaces.
The others just to show what they look like at speed.

The video looks good to me on it. If you want to take still shots out of the video how easy is that?
Regarding batteries yes you can change batteries. I purchased two larger batteries and was able to run the camera for about 2 1/2 hours per battery.
If you try powering up the camera when you want it it's hard to till if it is on or off from just being able to see the back. There is a red light that flashes put not always easy to see when riding.
I also found when using the button on top of the camera, and not the remote, it's very easy to get you finger/glove in the top of the picture.

I would like to thank you for your service also!
Those photos look good to me also. Was it a little hazy that day in those pics? Wouldn't surprise me if there was some dust in the air by the appearance of the locale.
So close to 9 hours of video excluding breaks? I could deal with that.
If you get in front of me I gotche, I have a G1W-C in my Car. record ever where I go. neither is water proff But, I think you can get a water proff cover for the Mobius.

Thank you!
First picture is on the Mokee Dugway (also spelled Moki) in Utah.
Second and third somewhere between Zion and Bryce Canyon.
In the first picture there was definitely a little dust in the air.
Second and third pictures were in the morning so there was just
a bit of haze that was caused by the sun peeking over the mountains.
Just a little humor here. One of the guys made the trip solo as his wife is a teacher and couldn't take the time off. One of the wives enlarged a picture of her and put it on paint stick. There are many pictures where she is 'with us'. lol
