Working on a bike man cave in the garage and looking into the interlocking floors.
Not necessarily going with orange/black checkered, but possibly grey/black, thus opening up more brand options. Looked at the floors at Sears, and Racedeck online.
Looking for recommendations on brands to stay away from and those to go with. Don't want a loose fitting/gaps flooring.
check out a flooring store, most have remnants of linoleum. i got a 12x17 foot for $125. easy cleanup and not glued to floor for replacement. slippery when wet though
I installed Racedeck a few months ago. Came out great and I could not be happier. They have specials around certain holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc. It's a bit hit or miss when they do them, but if you can, I'd hold off until next one. I had been thinking about it for a while and moved on it last spring - saved me around 10% plus free shipping. The pic above was taken BEFORE I installed it - guess I need to update that at some point
Interlocking tiles at Costco are the best I've seen. I don't have them but a friend of mine does & they look super & are very high quality & no holes, totally solid. They look like they would last forever. He & a friend did his 3 car garage in just a few hours.

With the Racedeck type flooring, can you still use your floor jack?? Seems like rolling the jack around would not be possible. Also, the weight might damage them? I see pics of whole garages done, maybe its people who just show??
Not wanting a permanent floor. Something that can be removed in minutes if I want to change
I just finished re-doing the floor in my garage. Painted with a 1 part epoxy but used Interlocking tiles for the area I park my bike on. The product I used was 20.5 X 20.5 tiles I used three rows of 5 for a space approx 8.5' X 5' to park on.
I was really pleased with how well they went together, very snug fit with no gaps at all. Actually it fit so tight together that using a rubber mallet to tap the interlocks helped a great deal because the fit was so snug that it was difficult to snap together with hand pressure. Not saying it was difficult, you basically line up the interlocking seams then just tap with a mallet. Looking at it you would think it is one piece
