You have developed a fobia. As long as your tires are in good shape you should not have any problems.Of course you have to be a little more cautious, but it should not make you angry. It is all a part of life.

One thing I should tell you I found living in Florida.

Dunlop tires ("DO NOT WORK") in the rain in Florida
or any where else for that matter, in Florida the best
rain tire you can buy is Pirelli (but they don't last long)
Michelin work as good as Pirelli but they let go with
no warning (but they do last longer) Avon would be a
great choice for Florida or any where else. Metzelers
work almost as good as Avons and offer the same
mileage as the Dunlops.

My personal chioce for Florida rain is Pirelli or Avon,up
here in the mountains I run Metzelers because I ride
50 to80,000 miles a year. Which means I need max
tire life with max traction for the tire life, plus we
don't have the greasey roads you have in the rain.

My point is: Do not try the track days in the rain on
Dunlops,do not ride on the street with Dunlops and
you will feel much better about riding in the rain as
soon as you take the Dunlops off your bike.In fact
most people I get off of Dunlops tell me they wonder
how theever rode their motorcycle on those tires!!

Good Luck and ride Safe my friend"

PS: Call if you need to talk?

Caleb meant no offense have relatives in tampa I visit every year maybe a coincidence seems like it rains every afternoon, dont blame you when it rains hard I look for a way off the road, and yes we have tornados every day starting in late march through august ,the trick is you have to ride in the same direction as they spin, now of course this will cause you to speed up quite a bit...Tom..
Now, thats just plain funny I don't care who you are.

That just goes to show you, any tire that will
hold air can be just fine to ride in the rain..

At least up until the time you really need a real
tire to save your life from a dumb azz thats trying
to kill you! []

I hope your lack of tire knowlage never gets you
killed so your family has to suffer becauseof your
lack of tire knowlage[:'(]

Theres to many families out there suffering now
from motorcycle riders that had no knowlage about
tires and tire safety, witout you having to add to
it my friend. I hope you get to learn before it's
to late to learn..

Ive ridden in the rain a few times and it is kinda nerve racking. Its best to just slow down a little and relax. Theres more traction on the road then you realize. Try this, the next time your in the rain, while traveling at speed, just squeeze your brakes hard. Dont lock them up just pretend your in an emergency situation and need to stop quick. Grab em and squeeze em hard, youll find you have plenty of traction.
