ORIGINAL: 211Chuck...I wouldn't go as far as suck to discribe Dunlop tires. After all they do for the most part hold air..LOL"
Ya know, and this didn't start as a tire thread, but no one ever proved their case by 'bad mouthing' the other side...

Bro, this isn't personal, so pleae don'tmake it that way.

And I'll concede to your statement that you've done a whole lot of tire testing. God love ya for that, and I can respect ya for that... But you got to listen to the people that are speaking. And what they are saying. And a whole lot of us have got a whole lot of miles in ACTUAL RAIN, in ACTUAL TRAFFIC, and in ACTUAL RIDING conditions....Yeah...I think there are 'better tires' out there than Dunlops...But I'm happy with them. Show me why they aren't...

You do not forward your case by threatening pain, suffering, or death. State the limitations of one and the benefits of another in a reasonable manner. Otherwise (for all the readers of this forum know), you are blowing smoke...It's the internet, realize that most people don't give a crap about who you are or what you've done...State the facts and let the readers decide. Trust me...We all aren't as stupid as the policians think we are...We might be lazy...
But we aren't stupid. Especially when it comes to our 'hard earned $$$'.

Like I posted..There are other mfg's of tires (just like motorcycles). I understand the particular nuances of my stock Dunlops, and I'd never say that I wouldn't buy another tire from a different mfg. My Dunlops (with their traits) have served me well. Would I buy them again? Probably...Unless I hear a reasonable argument not to.

Hey, I don't like Goodyear tires for automobilesanymore...I buy strickly Firestones (or Bridgestone) for my cars, unless it's for my wife's 99 vette, which has Goodyear Z-ratedrun flats (and there are 'better tires' out there too). And the Vette does dry conditions for the 3000 miles it gets every year. But that's just me. You couldn't get me to buy another Michelin tire for an automobile...But, again, that's based upon my experience with them. Change my 'opinion' with facts...Not scare tactics.

So, if you have a 'case'...State it. Don't 'bad mouth' the competition...It only make your case weaker.

Ride safe. We all want to learn.

Did I misrepresent anything? Everyone on here has read your entire original post. You did wreck. Get your head outta your azz and move on. Your agenda against Dunlop does not hold water.

Sorry, not trying to scare anyone at all, just stating
facts.

The facts are anyone who believes OEM tires are the
best on anything motorcycle's/car's/SUV's/PU trucks
or what ever knows nothing about tires and lowest
bidder contracts!

Everything else I said are facts also, but the only way
for anyone else to know that is to get out there and try
other brands of tires on their motorcycles for themselve's.

Like I've said before many times: it's your life, not mine.
You can ride on anything you like and wear what ever
helmet (or not) and what ever gear you want. I do myself
so it's all good to me..

Ride Safe my friend...

You're not scaring anybody, your just coming off as pompous and arrogant. You always post in large bold print, and your condescending tone let's everyone know that you clearly believe that you are the ultimate authority on all subjects. Frankly, I'm confused why you ever left the Goldwing crowd.

Sorry to confuse you, I've never left or belonged to
any crowd as you put it.

As for my bold letters, most 21st Century Harley
riders are old goats like me and have a hard time
reading small print!

Sorry you feel the way you do about me, but hey"
Life goes on" LOL"
