hey dude i hear you on the looks im 24 and ride a harley and i definately notice the older guys looking at me but who cares man. whenever they ask me why i don't ride a sport bike i tell them the same reason you don't because i like harleys. do whatever makes you feel good and just have fun riding the bike you want.
Who cares what people say or think. I didn't buy my bike to impress someone. I bought it because I wanted it. I wave at other bikers some wave back, some don't. Big deal. I'll stop and help out (If i can) any biker regardless of what label is on the tank, and if it's winter time anyone stranded on the side of the road . Doesn't matter if I am on my bike or in my truck.
Point is live your own life, don't worry about it.
Don't even sweat it, be yourself and have fun. I wear a full face helmet most of the time and half the time i wear a meshTourmaster jacket with no harley patches, so I probably look like a non-conformist to some i guess, but who cares? I know what I like and that's all I care about... Good luck to you and have fun!
