Which is better, Gold,Splitfire,Iridium,Platinum,or Standard spark plugs?
I was wondering which is better or what is the general consensus on each of these. I heard one person says split fire is junk. Others says the Iridium is worthless. I have heard nothing on gold or platinum and many say go with standard.

Your poll needs more info and options:
There is no way to determine which plug is best without knowing whether the individual prefers Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads
And,
Are they right handed with all their wisdom teeth? Or Left handed with a dominant right eye. (Prescription Glasses won't matter in this case.)
What car do they drive?,, and very important is the torque used on the seat bolt!
Without this specific data all reasonable spark plug information is null and void
I've heard it depends on whether you are running conventional or synthetic oil. Some types of plugs have a preference. Also the type of riding you do, highway vs in town. Do you do a lot of group rides?

Not yet. All I know is that I need to consider replacing the plugs at some point but not sure which.
Joe, you are opening yourself up to a bunch of bs and I'm not sure if you are going to like it.
Why would I not be surprised. I have yet to see a post from a thread that hasn't forked away from the main subject. There always going to be someone who veers it off course.

Stay with the style you are currently using. Doubt you'll notice much difference between the different types, they all go snap on command.
My car has the iridiums, but they can go 100K miles, and I have a transverse V6, making the back bank of plugs a real biach to access, so they're worth it for that. Plugs on the Limited are very easy to replace so I'll use regular ones and replace them as called for. Not at all convinced the precious metal ones do anything other than last longer.
