Default Yuasa Batteries- Are They Any Good?

Does anyone have experience with Yuasa batteries? Their maintenance free battery model# YUAM720GH GYZ20HL rated at 20 amp-hours and 310 cold cranking amps sells for $100 thru Amazon, free shipping.

Comments? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Well, their regular batteries powered up most Jap bikes for years, but I've never had a battery that lasted as long as the original Harley battery that came in my Ultra.

The battery that came in my Ultra only lasted 2 years 3 months, I never used a battery tender. I replaced it with an Interstate battery that I purchased from my Harley dealer. This time I'm always using a tender unless I'm on a road trip.

When I replace my next battery it will be a local purchase probably a Duracell from Batteries Plus.
You can catch them on sale for around $100 and you can get a 2 year warranty.
Regular price is $125.

If I don't go with Batteries Plus I'll probably just buy one from a local autoparts store or perhaps Walmart.

If I was to order one online it would be a Big Crank from Battery Mart.
They too are $100 with free shipping and are rated 5 star with over 1000 reviews.

Probably nothing wrong with Yuasa but in my experience the Harley battery is the best and longest lasting. You can buy the exact same battery from other sources a lot cheaper. They are made by East Penn and are most often found under the Deka name.

I bought one about a year ago. It works good. I also use a battery tender. My last two batteries lasted about three years each both using the battery tender on them.

They are one of the better battery brands. They make their own, as well as make batteries for a lot of other brands to resell.

They are actually made in the USA....in PA...have been for decades.

A little more expensive than average (although cheaper than Harley labeled batteries (which are actually made by Deka/East Penn..and just marked up a lot of extra money to cover the cost of the Harley sticker on them).

My local Indy shop prefers and sells Yuasas.
