when I got my first touring bike, I thought it sounded like a good idea. bought one on sale, tried to use it once, and then promptly threw it away. would have cost more in gas to drive to hf to return it.
my j&s jack works great for cleaning the wheels. with the added benefit that I can sit on my craftsman roll stool and not have to bend over to try to clean the wheel. saves your back!
Thinking about picking one up to make cleaning the wheels/tires a bit easier. Just wondering if it's designed for much lighter bikes as opposed to bigger HDs.
I ran across one of those a few months ago in HF it was on sale for around $15 so I thought what the hell I will give it a try. I put it under the rear of my Wideglide and could not turn the tire at all without a lot of effort. After that I did not even try the front, put it back in the package and returned it for a refund. I think it may work OK on smaller bikes but for a full size HD I think it is worthless.
When I bought it I did not have a jack and thought it may be a good cheap device for rotating the wheel for cleaning or checking air pressure. I ended up later buying a J&S jack
