i placed an order in mid october. he had said the lead time was 6-9 weeks. well i've heard stories of generally taking closer to 10-12 weeks so it wasn't a surprise when i hadn't heard from him by the 1st of the year. contacted him january 13th to get an ETA on the bars. he said he was going to finish them that week. might i add that he sounds like a great guy. seems great to deal with. talks your ear off even though he is probably way too busy for his own good. just a good business owner. he seemed busy enough, so i figure i'll leave him alone so he can get back to work. well two weeks goes by, send another email. takes another week just to get a response. the email literally says, "yep all is good". that was feb 3. email again to inquire on feb 18th. and it says "i will try to finish the bars this week thanks". well it has been 10 days since then. we are going on week 19 since my order was placed. no harsh words have been spoken on my end. only kind inquiries, all except the 1st have been through email so he doesn't have to stop working to answer a phone and waste his valuable time.
i'm starting to get a little steamed at this point. though i don't want to call him to vent simply because then i'm some j/o customer.. but seriously, this is getting ridiculous. perfect riding weather in texas and i'm waiting on bars
I got my bars from BR. Took longer than quoted but they are great bars. I see now that their website states they no longer chrome their bars, only powercoat or raw. Did u get them chromed? Wonder if the chrome shop is holding them hostage? Good luck, hope u get me soon.
I am in the same boat. I ordered my bars mid October and I'm still waiting... there is virtually zero customer service. I am sure the bars are going to be nice, but this wait has just taken the wind out of my sails. Quoted 6-8 weeks, it's been 19... No part of that is acceptable. I think I've given him plenty of time. My bars are at his chromers. I'm a little worried that his website just updated saying they no longer offer chroming.
I have a set of br custom bars and they took 4 months to get. They are high quality bars but the wait is ridiculous. i want to change out my bars for another set from him but I just can't bring myself to sit and wait for him to make another set. That is not to mention price of his bars is higher than just about any other company. Sit tight and stay on him. You will get them eventually. As much as I like my bars I really don't think I will use his service again and just buy an off the shelf bar
well i finally received my bars on friday. they are absolutely beautiful. attention to detail is masterful. i'm a welder/fabricator so i know what i'm looking at and these bars were worth the wait. they were a 1-off based on his sweeping beaters and he really came through. i'm almost sorry i started this thread!!
