HOG roadside assistance towed me for free on a Sunday last May. Very pleasant experience, no long wait and the guy who towed it showed up with a motorcycle trailer.
Anything they offer can be had elsewhere as previously stated.
I never could see the value or reason to belong to some corporate derived group just because you enjoy riding a motorcycle.
I don't enjoy standing around a dealership in swashbuckling appropriate attire for hours at a time.
I believe organized 25 mile rides to buffet's are ridiculous.
And usually, by the time these folks meet at the dealership, sip coffee, touch pretty bikes, and discuss what position they will be in behind the leader, I'm over the mountains and 150 mi. down the road.
Now, that's just my opinion. I know some people who have been members and report that they enjoyed it. To each their own. It's just not for me.
We won the UK mileage competition this year with 672,762 miles registered between us. To put that into perspective, the Chelsea and Fulham chapter registered 4,033 between them - so they probably didn't even get out of the dealership car park.
I always thought warrs had a small carpark !! Which chapter are you referring to ?
If your dealer offers a "HOG" discount, you might be a HOG.
If you ride with other HOGs from a Dealership, you might be a HOG.
If you like to read National Harley articles, you might be a HOG.
If you stick with major hwys only, then the HOG map book is useful.
If you need or would like a list of Harley dealerships and contact info, you might be a HOG. the book has this info.
If you do not have any towing insurance, you might be a HOG.
If you don't ride with friends and want to feel part of a group and maybemake friends, you might need HOG.
It is a perceived value, if you feel that value, keep it. If you do not see its' value to you, don't keep it.
A kinder gentler version for those easily offended or who are unable to deal with tongue in cheek satire.

If you breakdown a lot and need a list of Harley dealerships and contact info, you might be a HOG. If that happens, I'll google "Harley" and beat you there.
If you do not have any towing insurance, you might be a HOG. I do, AAA RV+
If you like to defend your choice to be relevant on this forum, you might need HOG. I'm not relevant anyway, so I do not.

I've been a member for close to 20 years. Main benefit for me...My local chapter, Jersey Shore HOG, does a once a year Toys for Marine Tots run to Rockefeller Center in NYC at Xmas time. They stop traffic for us all the way in from Jersey Shore, give us parking us next to the big Christmas tree . It's a blast going through the Holland tunnel and the streets of NYC with all traffic stopped by local NYPD and NJ Transit PD. Streets are lined with people cheering and taking pictures.
