Are you asking between polyurethane vs rubber? For risers, specially if you have apes, poly is better.

There's urethane and rubber. I choose urethane by a long shot. regardless of what type of bars.

I would vote for polyurethane also, just replaced mine a month or so ago. Makes the risers and bars more stable than rubber.

For the record, urethane and polyurethane is the same material. Either way, that's what you want as opposed to the OEM rubber bushings.

Will changing out the riser bushings help with stock handlebar vibrations?

Polyurethane bushings will transmit more vibration to your hands, but the stability you'll gain is well worth the small amount of extra vibes.

Cheers!

I never noticed any measurable difference when I switched. Of course, it was about 18 years ago.

I have the poly bushings from Alloy Art...i had to do a little customization as they are on the Springer, but they are excellent. You will not be disappointed.

If you're running apes, stay away from the rubber...they degrade to sloppy junk within about two years.
