I never noticed any measurable difference when I switched. Of course, it was about 18 years ago.
I did when I made the switch, but it's not very much.
The factory rubber bushings were soft, and when I went to the 14" apes, they moved around a LOT, and made Reaper feel squirrely. Once I switched to the poly bushings, they tightened everything up, but gave me a bit more buzz in the hands. That said, I've been riding with them for almost 12 years, without any issues.
