Default Riser bushings???

I was cleaning the bike and caught it about to fall over. I grabbed the bar end and got it upright. Now my bars are not straight, the risers seem to be uneven. Could the bushings be damaged? Do I get OE bushings or aftermarket?

Thanks!

Bill

Loosen the risers, straighten the bars and then tighten them back up. Better yet replace the original risers with some better poly bushings.

The HD Poly bushings have been good for me with 12" apes. Dont have experience with other brands though

I replaced mine got them from J&P most likely cheaper than Harley Dealer. Easy job to replace them I tightened the nuts to 45Ft lbs there was a string before on how tight to pull them down.

+1 on poly bushings. I have those (running 16" WO and 2" risers) and they are much better than stock.

When on the bike, the top of the right riser and bar is closer to me. When looking at the base of the riser on top of the tripple tree, the right riser is not sitting flush, it's leaned back slightly. I guess if I install the new bushings and it still is crooked, I will swap risers.

I couldn't see bending anything if the bike didn't hit the ground. The stock rubber bushings in there are pretty flimsy. Thats about one of the first things I'd get rid of just because I don't like smooshy feeling bars myself. Poly's might transmit a bit more vibration but worth getting rid of that gooey feeling in the bars IMO. My bike I have them rigid mounted and I love it. Might be a bit extreme for some though.
