Anybody ever have the black on the numbers on your torque wrenches come off? On one of my torque wrenches that I've used twice, the place where the back numbers arecomes off when you touch it! I noticed it smudge and then when I rubbed the black paint it all came off and you could't read the numbers. I couldn't believe it. The other torque wrench is fine. I'm going to Sears tonight to swap it for another. Pretty wierd.......
I don't believe their torque wrenches carry the lifetime warranty. That only applies to the sockets, wrenches, ratchets...etc. Excludes torque wrenches and multimeters.....[sm=signs003.gif]
I don't have any of their torque wrenches....but have heard of that problem before with others that do own Craftsman Torque Wrenches.
Thats correct on the warranty issue, One more tidbit for you though and that is Snap-On makes the digital torque wrenchs for Craftsman. Its the only one and the only difference is in the handle. Our local snap on tool guy that were friends with told us that one. So save yourself a few hundredbucks.
