, I have a gasoline engine powered pressure washer and have used it for years to clean my bike. A little common sense goes a long way.

Leaf blower makes drying a bike much easier and gets the water out of those spots you will never get to with a cloth.
, I use my shop vac discharge port and wand tube to dry my bike after I use the pressure washer.

Apparently, some guys do use a pressure washer on their bike, but I'm not one of them. I won't even take mine to a car wash. I did that 1 time while on a trip. I was at a rally, it rained by the bucket full, the place was a total mud hole, and my bike and me were absolutely covered in mud and slop when I left. My bike and myself went to the nearest car wash and we both got hosed off , but I never did and probably never will do it again. It's your bike, but why chance it. I have a bucket, plenty of rags, good soap and washing my bikes is what I have them for.

I never used a pressure washer on my bike but the local HD dealer on Okinawa had a wash station set up in there Mech area and they washed the bikes before they returned them to there owners. They had a pressure washer in there. My bike got washed there a few times. No problems at all. I wouldn't worry about wheel baring's unless you are on an older bike. All the newer ones are sealed.

For car owners who use it often and in any weather, it is better to choose a semi-professional car wash

The information is still relevant 6 years later. Lots of bad advice in here too.

Yep. I use a pressure washer all the time to clean the bike. I set it to gentle, and I avoid direct spray to the wheel bearings. Never had any issues. Just be a little sensible about it.

Also - get a snow foam attachment for the pressure washer. It makes cleaning easier and also fun.

If you think about it, riding at 60+mph in heavy rain is pretty similar to pressure washing the thing. The bikes are built to handle adverse weather conditions, not to be babied.

some folks couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were on the sole.
While some other folks are able to use labor saving devises without blowing a pin connector off a wiring harness...

that is all
Carry on
