PCll ?

A buddy of mine who has an 04 carbed fatboy went to the dealer to see about a pcll.He was told due to his bike being carbed the pcll is useless.Is this true?

Power commander is a mapping device for EFI bikes. Carbed bikes can be jetted and have the carbs drilled and sdjusted like that. It is a lot simpler...

What about ignition timing and rev limiters and such? I though PCs do a lot more than simply adjust fuel flow.

For a carb bike there are plenty of aftermarket ignitions that allow timing adjustment and different rev limiter settings. I used a Crane HI-4 with a matching coil pack on my 92 EVO. It was what really woke the bike up after adding a cam, S&S carb, and slip ons. It replaced the stock module and coils. The PCIII is for EFI. Dynamakes ignition modules also. I am surpised the dealer didn't steer your friend that way, even H-D has Screamin' Eagle ignition modules that are adjustable.
