Default Toy hauler ramp angle and Harleys?

The angle on the door of our toy hauler is pretty steep. Steep enough to catch the frame on our bikes when going up into the hauler itself. Im curious to hear or see what you guys are doing to solve this issue? A fella told me about some foam ramps but I cant find any info on them online. Need something to raise the door some to take some of the angle out What are you guys doing?

Back the toy hauler up to the bottom of a steep driveway.

There are fold-up ramp extension you can attach to the top of the door. You then block up the bottom of the door and unfold the extensions out. I see it at the race track all the time with guys that have low slung cars.

I have a Toyhauler and I understand your concern. I lay a 2x6 under the rubber bumpers to lift the ramp up a little to help with the breakover at the top of the ramp entering the camper. If that's not enough you could always add to it. Hope this helps...

You may try loading/unloading with out the trailer attached to your tow vehicle, that way you can raise the front of the trailer as high as possible with the front jacks to give you less of an angle on the ramp door.

Another solution is to block up the bottom of the ramp with a 4X4 or whatever is necessary to give you less angle and more clearance then use a 2x12 as a runner to get up on the door.

I also have seen folks add an extension on hinges to their ramps made out of either wood or metal then block up the ramp to lessen the angle

Good info fellas, Raising the front end will definitely take some of the grade out. Might be able to put a 4x4 or similar under the door as well

Yep, like other said you need to raise the ramp. My hauler has a beaver tail so I don't have this problem.

My first toyhauler was like that. As long as I had my weight off the seat as I hit that point I could make it ok. I always tried to have the front end high as well. No issues like that in my new one!

I jack the tongue up as far as it will go and my bike will just clear the floor. I have friends who put a 4x4 under the ramp and use a ramp for the bike. It depends on the style of the trailer. Mine is a Work n Play 30WLA which is bumper pulled. The big 5th wheel toy haulers are higher and would need more help to cut down the angle.

Not always. The angle on my 38' Fuzion is better than it was on my 20' KZ MXT.
