Those old cop bikes from the late 60's, early 70's are what got me interested in Harley's in the first place. That, and watching Scotty Parker rip around the flat tracks.... but I digress. Those cop Road Kings are still cool! It sounds like he got a great deal...

That's about the going price for a used police bike. They usually have low mileage. Most have ABS brakes but many need a new clutch due to the way they are ridden.

I have a competitive friend like that. Everything he does is better and he finds faults in everything I do. Other than that were good friends and get along great. At first it bothered me to have to always defend myself on my actions. I realized it's just him and the way he is. He's that way with everyone. So I started to just agree with him. I agreed with him no matter what he said and justwent about my business. I think he got the hint and lightened up. He still does it sometimes, but not nearly as often.
As far as the wife thing. Agree with him, then start telling him what you would like to do to her when he's not around. Lol No...you better not...

I like the bike. I agree. Just be happy with your friends decision and be happy that you have someone else to go riding with!

I don't believe this,
FloydPink has a dissagreement with his buddy and comes here for support.
As he mentioned his buudy probably only got a HD because he did.
Not "1" let me repeat "NOT EVEN ONE" person sided with him.
I am very dissapointed in the fellowship here.
Oh wait somebody did at least point out that the bike does look government.
I must say It needs an upgrade in the exhaust department.
Other than that I must say
................My vote is for the GREEN Police Edition Road king for eleven grand!!!!!!!
......................You should swallow your hat and congratulate your friend on a
really cool find.
good for him!!!!!

If he likes it then that's all that matters. Plus the benefit is he can customize to his taste. A diamond in the rough.

ORIGINAL: floydpink

I left out part of the story.

He had a Suzuki Volusia, which he swore was the greatest thing in the world.I bought my fatboy and he was going on and on about how I overpaid for a name and his water cooled engine was soooo much better etc. I nodded my head and said, suuuuure dude, whatever.

I guess I got a little satisfaction seeing him buy a Harley after he saw mine.

Anyway, I am 40 years old and probably should be over these petty rivalries, but now he's saying his bitch is hotter than mine and I can't handle THAT!!!!
You guys are Friends????????

My friends don't talk about me behind my back.
