1) The only thing worse than a 5mph crawl in 90*+ weather in rush hour traffic is the 3mph crawl.

1. I had a Honda 50 when I was 10 years old, and it broke. I wanted a motorcycle all my life, but I never took the desire seriously.
2. 4 years ago, my 26 yr old son & only child, Nathan, died.
3. Nathan had passed MSF class but hadn't gotten a bike yet.
4. In the depths of my own misery last year, I realized I needed professional help, but opted for a motorcycle as a positive outlet.
5. Over the last year, I've thought about my motorcycle more than just about anything else. When I'm not riding, I'm thinking about riding, or modding.
6. I have 5 guitars and 3 amps, I've played guitar for 18 years, but I've hardly touched any of them since I got a bike.
7. I have a picture of Nathan holding his helmet in my garage, I see it every time I suit up.
8. I would love a Low Rider or a Softail, but don't have the money for either, so it may be another 49 years. (Not selling the guitars...)
9. I have Nathan's initials on the back fender of my bike.
10. Riding has quite possibly saved my life.

1. I am surprised at how much I love my wife's 48. Never liked the older iron head Sportsters.
2. I will still take the Softail for longer rides every time.
3. I really like how little chrome is on either bike.
4. I hate those little spots of tree stuff that settle on every spot on my bike when I park in the shade
5. My mom passed away last November. I think about her every day
6. My dad passed away 20 years ago. I think about him every day
7. I love playing guitar
8. I love playing in a Blues band. Am gigging regularly, and wish I could make a complete living at it
9. I make lists constantly
10. I am looking forward to moving to California to be near my grandkids (and 3/5 of my kids... I miss them)
