I got my 17" Memphis Shade and put it together as the supplied directions said. It was easy and fast. I see the quality seems much better than OEM.
One thing though, the Vance and Hines that were on the bike when I got it are a lot louder than I thought now that I can hear.
Question. I have a 2015 FLD Switchback with the stock windshield that came with it. I am 6'1", and the windshield seems too short for me. Sitting upright, the top of the windshield comes up to about my chin. Is there an ideal hight for the top as it relates to your line of sight? I seem to catch a lot of wind and buffeting on my helmet.
Also, to find out what the length mine is, do you measure from the bottom of the shield or from the headlight cutout? Mine is 16" from the top of the cutout tot he top of the shield.
I am definitely going aftermarket. Stopped by the local HD dealership last night looking for a 20", and they wanted $350 for the entire assembly. Said they couldn't just order the shield.
