I have a 2015 Roadglide Special and over the past few months I have noticed that when I make an abrupt stop, intermittently there is a strange noise from the drive train like a low hooting sound. I took it to the harley dealer and had them ride it and look it over and they couldn't find anything wrong. To me it seems like it's when the gravitational force of stopping makes the oil slosh forward thus causing the noise. Anyone experience this yet?
I have no idea what could be the cause, but it seems most times techs at the dealer will either a. not hear the noise, or b. hear it but still not hear it (they don't want to spend a lot of time on one job troubleshooting all the what ifs).
It's when I'm braking with the hand brake and it doesn't really have to be a hard stop, sometimes it will happen when I'm riding normally. To me it's like a bearing sound similar to when a bearing on a belt tensioner pulley is going out. It is driving me crazy because it wasn't doing this when it was new. I only have about 7k on the bike.

So you also have 7k on the tires.I think that's what you're hearing. Tires change characteristics with age and wear.
Years ago I was leaving work late at night and dew was all over everything. Close to home a yellow light caught me on an off ramp at 35 and as I came up to it, it appeared to me bike (Yamaha) was not stopping all that quick and then I heard this loud banshee howl.
Sitting there for a brief 1/2 second wondering what was that at 12:30AM in a rough neighborhood. About that time, a cloud of blue smoke and rubber smell drifted by me. I had lifted the rear tire stopping and it had slid a long ways. I have slowed down a lot since those silly days.
Thanks for the suggestion about the tires, my tires do actually make noise but it's only when taking a corner. The rear tire is a bit uneven. This noise is a noise where the road speed is very low, mostly as I am slowing to a stop while the clutch is disengaged. I am going to attach my go pro on the bike and try to duplicate the noise, maybe then I can get Harley to figure it out
