I have always had street bikes (just one headlight up front) but after riding my RK for the last few months it seems I get a lot less of people pulling out in front of me and left turns in front of me. They still do it but it seems a lot less with the large front end with all the lights up front.
I also like that big front tire for quick stopping over the skinny 21" ones I had on my street bikes.
One threat that I didn't have years ago is people texting, that's why I look for eyes. Tinted windows are the worse.

Eye contact doesn't matter anymore,, their brains are not attuned to the driving task they are supposed to be doing.
I look at the front wheel,, it's a better indication of what the vehicle is doing or about to do.

I agree; I think not only do passing lamps increase your visibility, you can also see better.

I agree, I watch the front wheel also, but the eyes have been the most reliable for me.
I put a Vision X Vortex LED light on my Street Glide along with some SoCalMotoGear Pathfinder passing lamps. People in front of me yield and wave me past them in the daylight because I'm irritating them with so many lumens.
I also like the dual brake rotors and large front tire. The additional stopping power never hurts.
I put those "Two mode" Custom Dynamics LED turn signal modules on my Dyna. They don't produce a focused beam of light like normal auxiliary lights do, but I figure they're bright enough for others to notice.
