^^^ I just replaced my CVO seat with a Mustang Super Solo. I rode about 150 miles today, and for the first time since I have owned the bike, I am not in pain.
I have a police seat on my road king. I can ride 700+ miles, and I have no discomfort whatsoever in my butt. My butt feels like I just got up from a comfortable chair. It may just be that the seat fits ME exceptionally well. I don't think my rear end is any more muscled than the next guys. I'm 60 y.o.. I also use a sheepskin.
What works for me doesn't necessarily help you, I realize.
I can only suggest:
Try some different seats. Make sure your riding position is good. You may need new bars, or footpeg locations. I'm not sure that would help your butt, but it can't hurt. Try to stay relaxed. If you are tense, that will just lead to muscle aches. Try using a sheepskin.
