Ok so I put a wide Mustang seat on my 2012 Electra Glide Ultra Classic for more comfort for me and my wife and went 207 miles yesterday and both of are ***'s hurt when done so now what do we do ice them????
"Anti Monkey Butt"powder. There's also a "women's" formula. (Do not mix the 2.)
I have a Corbin - hurts after 100 miles. My stock HD 2-up is real comfort comfortable. Go figure?
My stock seat is more comfortable on this bike than any other stock seat I have ever had. After adding the back rest I can go entire tank of fuel with no issues. I am ready to walk around and stretch a little bit after 200+ miles anyway. I am overweight and could stand to lose a few pounds, a few I mean about 80. Obese is a pretty strong word, I like to eat and those exercises someone posted look painful. Early on, I did demo two different seats at the dealership. None felt as good as the stock seat. Lucky I guess in that regard.
I ride long distances (500-1000 miles/day) and found that sitting on one of those airline neck braces provides the best comfort and cooling. I know it seems strange, but it works. That and keeping stops to less than 5 minutes.

This is an old thread but I'd say it took about 500 miles for my Mustang Vintage Solo seat to "break in". For all day rides I use an Air Hawk.
Same for me. After that first 1,000 miles I can ride 1,000+ mile days back to back with no discomfort in the seat. And that includes after a winter "break" of a month or so
