Suspension has a lot to do with it. Harley has the worst shocks in the industry. Change the rear shocks. Fork springs while you're at it

My office chair hurts a hell of a lot more than the Mustang. Can't wait to get out!

"Anti Monkey Butt"powder. There's also a "women's" formula. (Do not mix the 2.)

My stock seat is more comfortable on this bike than any other stock seat I have ever had. After adding the back rest I can go entire tank of fuel with no issues. I am ready to walk around and stretch a little bit after 200+ miles anyway. I am overweight and could stand to lose a few pounds, a few I mean about 80. Obese is a pretty strong word, I like to eat and those exercises someone posted look painful. Early on, I did demo two different seats at the dealership. None felt as good as the stock seat. Lucky I guess in that regard.

Sorta like breaking in a new set of boots, in this case it's an old set of butts!

If I am wrong, then why does the "broken in" seat feel hard as a rock after a winter of not riding?
I’ve never subscribed to the thinking that a seat needs to break in. If a seat doesn’t feel right when I sit on it then I look for a different seat.

I made the mistake one time with a Corbin. Never again. Used an Airhawk on it until I upgraded to a real long distance seat.

Absolutely! NO need to break in, instant day long comfort. I've put one on every FL I've had since they came out.

I ride long distances (500-1000 miles/day) and found that sitting on one of those airline neck braces provides the best comfort and cooling. I know it seems strange, but it works. That and keeping stops to less than 5 minutes.

This is an old thread but I'd say it took about 500 miles for my Mustang Vintage Solo seat to "break in". For all day rides I use an Air Hawk.

Same for me. After that first 1,000 miles I can ride 1,000+ mile days back to back with no discomfort in the seat. And that includes after a winter "break" of a month or so
