Cubic Inches Vs. Cubic Centimeters for Non-Motorcycle riders
I was having a conversation the other day with one of my co-workers and the subject of motorcycles came up. This co-worker friend of mine started asking me about my bike and the specs such as engine size. They asked me, "What size is the engine on your bike?", to which I replied, it's 96CI.
Co-worker: That's kind of a small motor, isn't it?
Me: No, not really.
Co-worker: Well, my brother has a Honda Shadow 750.
Me: Yes, that's 750CC. My bike is like 1587CC. Typically with Harleys, the engines are typically referred to in cubic inches.
Co-worker: Oh, I see.
I find it very funny how some Americans don't understand the metric system, but when it comes to bikes, they understand CCs right away.
"Sure is a lot of CC's for such a slow bike". They've got me there!
Well, ok...... fine.
But I have style! LOL!!

So stupid ignoramuses can poke fun at those that don't understand that CC is a universally recognized standard unit around the world
I wasn't poking fun at him. It was a very "light-hearted" conversation, that's all.
All I'm stating is that I find it humerous that most Americans can't convert from the metric system, but when it comes to CCs, they get it right away.
