Probably burn exhaust valves as well......

H-D gaskets are made from the same thing as McNuggets. That's why they chirp.
The aftermarket has made a fortune off of H-D's decision to be cut corners.
+2 on the Cometic gaskets.

Way to go Rebelwade91, you hang in there, and you will get it done. You will wind up with a fixed bike, a good education, and you will loose the fear of trying.

If you're not sure if you can do it, that's a pretty decent sized task for the uninitiated.
I would take it to a pro, especially since it's your only transpo.

That has been my experience about everything I've done to my bike.

Harleys are actually a pretty simple design and when all's said and done they just aren't near as hard as you think they're gonna be the first time you do it.

The first time I took the heads off my bike it took a while to build up the courage.

A couple years later a friend and I did a top end gasket job on his '85 super glide in 4 hours.
Granted I trailered his bike to my house so that I didn't have to wait for it to cool off.

I changed a shovel head gasket in a Mcdonald's parking lot on a road trip, gets you over fear of the little things pretty quick.
