First of all it wasn't a tow, it was a recovery. If you feel 2 guys could have pushed out why not call 2 buddies? What time was it? nobody wants to invest 60-70 g's in a wrecker to get awakened at 3am and recover a vehicle from wherever for free. Did you get overcharged? maybe but until you tell the whole story I call BS. No I do not own a tow service.

8 pm when the accident happened and they wouldn't let my brother go get his trailer to get the bike. go back and read the thread, i told you the entire story ! it was the way the guy was talking to my sons and brothers i didn't care for and niether did they. i had an agreement with the insurance company that i could remove some parts before they took the bike, i had the bike for 8 months after the accident. last night my wife and i talked about this for along time and everyone seems to think i should just let it go, so i've decided to just that. that said i hope my youngest brother doesn't ever run into the guy he figures he owes him a punch him in the eye. maybe i'll just crap on the guys grave someday. anyway i'm over it and thanks for letting me get it off my chest even though some of you don't agree. been holding this hate in for along time. again thanks !

So not only are you threating physical violence in writing you also confirmed you committed insurance fraud by removing parts from the motorcycle before the insurance company got it so I assume you had already settled financially and took parts off their bike. You sound like a stand up guy.
you don't get it do you ? well i hope you never have to go though anything like this. i was laying in the hospital unable to take care of my own busniess and felt helpless and then you are hearing about some ******* like this guy ripping you off. i'm letting it go.
I am not 100% sure if this is true, as in "I've never done this myself"... but in AZ if the police officer calls for a tow, it's much, much cheaper than if you call for the tow yourself. Never had the opportunity to try it.

first time i ever had the police tow my bike too. i hope never again.
You said a couple of times you wanted to get some parts off the bike prior to the insurance company getting the bike... so we know the bike was covered.
Why didn't you submit the tow bill to the insurance company for reimbursement as part of the claim?
Not trying to **** you off, but the tow fees ARE part of the loss.
had a question for everyone. two years ago i hit a deer and crashed. bike was 11 feet off roadway in nice level smooth grass. two people could have walked it back on the road. cops called tow company and they towed bike 6 miles and had the bike a total of 12 hours. the fee ? $630.00 ! this has bothered me along time and i'm thinking about calling the news station and see if they would address the stealing these ****** are doing. i was in the hospital with no say so of what was going on. they took avantage of my wife. it's hard to let this go. maybe i'll just go down and break ll the windows out of the building or better yet give him a good beating with a bat. i'm getting back one way or the other.
I ain't gonna try to fix a problem that can't be fixed 2 years after it happened with some sort of crystal ball monday morning quarterback comment, I'd have been pissed too. But now after 2 years i'd think i could let it go.
i did submit the bill to the insurance and they did end up paying it. my sons and brothers went and got the bike at 9 am the next day and had to drag it on and off of the trailer and into my garage. no big deal. i don't care if the damn thing was up in a tree, $630 is taking advantage of the ordeal. i'm letting it go before i get myself pissed off again about it.
