I have the flag mount in this pic. It came with the rubber pad pictured that wraps around the rack to help keep the mount from moving. Just curious is anyone has found something better to use? No matter how tight I get it, the mount still seems to spin a bit on the rack.
Haven't tried that one in question but one from HD, it didn't clamp "tight". So I put a couple layers of Gorrila clear vinyl tape on my tour pak and using the bigger flag kit from HD. If I'm on the Interstate all day then I will roll the flag up around the mast and secure with rubber bands. My brother uses one from Pro Pad, works for him.

I could never get mine tight enough either so I installed it on the side of the rack.
With it on the side it stays upright.

Thanks. While my mount didn't come from Pro Pad, my flags did and I can't say enough good things about their flags. Very high quality and well made. If I can only get my mount to stay on and upright, I have no doubt that Pro Pad flags will last a long time.

Thanks. I originally had mine mounted on the back part of my rack (left to right if looking at the rack from behind the bike). As you have mentioned, a buddy suggested moving to the side of my rack (front to back if looking from behind the bike). I am certain this will work better. I do want to get it a bit tighter even on the the side of the rack.
This may sound stupid, but are you sure you got the right size? There are differently tubing sizes on different racks, even from HD. Different bike makers use different sizes so make sure you got the right size for you rack. My rack on my '14 Limited is 1/2".

Good point. I think this may be it. I also have a '14 Limited so I assume my rack is also 1/2". The "universal" flag mount I have is loose without the rubber padding. Thanks!
