Every day I see at least one guy on a crotch rocket riding down the road with no glasses on. I don't see how they can do it. I can't stand even deal with the wind in my eyes at low speeds. These guys are traveling at normal speeds. Can't imagine getting wacked in the eye by a bug. Or worse yet a rock.
I've been known to do it if I forgot my clear glasses and the sun starts going down. It's really not bad at all, but the bugs scare the hell out of me. At least I can see.
Drove the truck through a construction site the other day--worst I've ever seen. I took hits from gravel and asphalt all over the truck. Coming out on the far side, I met a biker with nothing on his face. Gump was right.
I feel like I was born wearing glasses. ( Mom said it hurt)
One eye weak - so I protect the 20/20 one with my life. You never
know what you've got 'til it's gone.
Same here, I don't know how anyone rides without some sort of eye protection. Dirt, dust, bugs, small and larger rocks bouncing off my face with goggles or glasses, can't imagine something in my eye at 70+ mph w/o something there. Ouch.
