5000 mile service

In the process of taking care of this, I do have and follow the manual. Question though, if my clutch free play is good and there aren't any issues, is there really a need to adjust the clutch?

+1 on leaving it alone.

At 5,000 miles the bike is still new so no need to worry about a frayed cable or the need to lubricate it. These things are noticed when adjusting the cable clutch.

Key words..."free play is good" and "there aren't any issues", what would you be adjusting it for?

I inspected a few things at 5,000 plus, changed oil and filter, and called it a day. Everything was good so why pay the dealer $300 to $500?

At 10,000 I will probably take it in after I change fluids.
