Just got up this morning, and the temp is 32 degrees. My wife and I leave shortly for a bike run....called "Frost your nuts bike run" I think the name fits.I hate the cold..... [:@] but were going anyway. We will look like eskimos(sp) with all the layers of clothes on.Days like this I envy those with heated vests, jackets, and pants !!! oh well. We have never done this particular run before. You don't know the destination until you get there........no idea where were going,no idea when were done, etc.Thats ok by me.....We love to ride. The ride starts in Hudson WI,and thats all I know. We'll take some pics to post when we get back, and "DEFROST".
Howdy John, you and your wife have a fun and safe trip. It does sound like the temp fits the occassion. I'm not much either for having to wear a lot of clothes when I ride, but I like the idea of just taking off and just riding until you get there, wherever that is and getting back at whatever time you get here. I don't like being timed or having to look at a watch when I ride. I just go and come as I please, that's the fun for me. Enjoy your ride and have a good day.
Mac, my flight suits were always too restrictive when it was hot or too thin to block the wind in the cold... Never just right.
We had our first "cold" morning here in Little Rock this past Friday. The temp was a frigid 52 degrees when I rode into work and it was great! The only problem with colder weather is the heckling I get from the wife as I strap on my "Village People" leather chaps...
I left out yesterday to go to our state Rally. Was in the 40's. I put on the gerbing heated jacket and gloves, nice and toasty while I enjoyed the ride!
ill tell ya, i really dont miss the cold days. i got up this morning went for a run with the wife, took care of the pool, showered and got ready for work. hopped on the bike (first time in a week) its been so f'n rainy. finally today a nice sunny day. i can remember riding in philly in nov/dec/jan thermals 2 pair of gloves just cause i needed to ride. id get to work frozen...lol
