I continue to pray for Randy, and his family. This story has touched my spirit, and I am deeply concerned for all involved. I will bring this to the attention of the men at the prison, tonight, and have them add Randy to their prayer list. You are a great friend. You have been there from the beginning, and have supported them, and kept us informed. I would be proud to have you as a friend of mine. Well done. Its not an easy thing, that you do. Please let the family know that I continue to hold them up, to the Master Healer, and I know, that He Has this situation at his full attention, and will not forget Randy. Give all my love to them, this day.
Sorry there haven't been many updates lately. It's very tough here on the ground but Randy has been showing some signs of improvement. He has been moving his left arm and both legs periodically. He has also been responding to simple voice commands. Doctors also said the C.Diff turned out to be a mild case and is clearing up but not totally gone so visiting is still limited.
It is definitely hard watching Randy's wife get crushed by medical bills and the legal processes. I stood in his garage yesterday taking pics of all his motorcycle parts to get them posted for sale online. I couldn't believe what I was doing and as I was standing there in a daze It started to sink in more that I may not ride with him again.
Here is a recent pic of Randy in the hospital. There is also another event to support Randy coming up. Local American Legion is hosting a fundraiser on May 21 from 1-5 pm so if your in the north Jersey area please stop by as there will be a TON of awesome stuff to bid on.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. But hold out hope.
A year ago I as in ICU and critical care for 8 weeks after a bike crash. I am here today and getting healthier everyday.
Your friend's road to recovery will be very long. If he is stubborn enough, he will make it.I hope he totally recovers. He may likely have a new normal though. A year later, they are still fixing me one operation at a time..
"Randy is slowly making progress in the right direction. He opens his eyes and can follow simple commands. Then goes back to sleep. Part of healing and being in an "Unresponsive" state. He is almost 99% healed from his facial surgery and looks more like Randy. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. He has a long way to go. The have moved him out of the Icu and onto a pulmonary floor. He is still not allowed visitors since they diagnosed him with c.diff."
Here's a little good news on Randy. He is making tremendous progress when he is awake. He can recognize and is familiar with many things. He is showing signs of frustration and that's good for motivation so I am told. He is trying to speak but tires easily.
Physical therapy docs took randy out of his bed today and put him in a chair for a bit. First time since entering the hospital he has been out of his bed.
Physical therapy personnel had randy up today and he walk a shakey 20 steps with the assistance of a walker! He still doesn't talk much and his vision is believed to be just shadows at this point but he is up and moving for the first time!
Received some bad New today. Randy was examined by eye doctor because his vision still hasn't come back. Apparently his situation is not correctable and will be permanently blind. Another doc going to check as well but it's pretty cut and dry from what the current doc is seeing.
