You're a try it your way first and then open the book kinda guy. LOL I actually did try to look up directions before I posted..... My search was fruitless.

I have the same style, but sometimes they are stuck in position, even after the adjustment screw is loose. Loosen it up, then put it back on the bike and give it a good wack! Hope that helps.

Lol. That sounds like the tech guy response of "turn it off and on again".

I came home from work and got my limited supply of tools out and couldn't get the chrome around the seat off because I didn't have the correct Allen wrench. So, I'll go to the hardware store tomorrow and get a good set and try again.

Are you taking the rail off because you don't like it or are you trying to get the seat off?

You can adjust the backrest while it's on the bike.

If your seat is like mine, it has a key lock that releases the front mount. The key slot is under the flap on the left side. The rail stays on the bike and the rear mount is incorporated into that.

Don't be hard on yourself. It's not obvious, and unless the seller told you about it, you'd do like anyone and try to take it off like every other seat.

The upside is that no one can steal your seat!

Thanks Mike. I appreciate you taking the time to explain it. I didn't get to mess with it tonight but I'll take care of it tomorrow.

You rock! This is exactly why I hang out here.

Guys.... Help again please. Look at this pic. It appears that the only adjustment that can be made is up and down rather than back and forth. I don't see anywhere to adjust anything underneath the seat. Confirm that's what I'm looking at please.

I think you are correct. Mine looks exactly the same, I'm pretty sure that the black allen bolt in the top is your only adjustment.
