Thank you! And it looks like I'm going to have to screw in the bottom so someone doesn't walk off with it.

That's pretty much it Queen. Angle is pretty much the only adjustment other than those two screw holes.

I never bolted mine in. I wanted to take it off and on without having to remove the seat. The only time I removed it on the road was when I was overnighting somewhere. I'd just take it into the hotel along with my removable saddle bags. Long road trips are the only time I use it.

You'd just have to decide for yourself how you are going to use it. All the time, or just some of the time.

Thank you for your input Mike! I'm still happy with it and I'll keep tinkering. I haven't ridden without it yet and I like to look of it bare so I'll experiment a bit more. It was nice to have on the one longer trip I took, but I might end up like you and only use it for overnights.

I guess I'll let this backrest issues "rest". LOL I'm sure Ill have other questions as I learn my bike.

Again, thank you all for the help.

It's a 1/4 20 screw that hold the back rest to the seat.

That screw in the backrest shown in your photo is the only ANGLE adjustment screw there is.
The one under the seat is just to lock it in place, I leave that one out to take it off easily.
It does look like the one under the seat has 2 positions, but that's not what you are looking for..

Did you manage to get that one allen screw on the backrest loose?
Sometimes they are pretty tight, loosen it up all the way, then
angle it the way you want it..

Nothing under the seat is for adjustment.

I did not....I got sidetracked with looking under the seat. Before, when I tried, I couldn't break it loose. I was afraid I was going to damage something (like my hand). I'm gonna have another go at it. This backrest will not get the better of me.

It looks a little rusty under there.
You might try spraying some PB blaster on there and let it sit for a while.
If that doesn't work, you might have to get a socket style allen bit.
That will give you more leverage on it..

You will need a long one, something like these.

Problem solved. It did take a little muscle to break the screw loose, but I got it. I tweaked the angle a bit and rode about 300 miles yesterday and it was perfect.

Thank you guys!
